"Subject: VPC 5.0.4 quick benchmarks
I just downloaded and updated Virtual PC from version 5.0.3 to 5.0.4 to see if the performance has increased.
Here are my quick results:
(Note - I graphed his results rather
than posting the list of numbers. He listed times for 3 runs per test which I averaged for the graph. I asked if they were run back to back (cache effect possible) or if they were each run after a reboot.-Mike)
Test System:
PowerBook G4/500/768MB/30GB/AP, Mac OS 10.1.5, all patches applied
Windows System: 374MB RAM, Windows 2000 SP2, IE 6.0, all patches applied
Conclusion:
Most applications feel just as snappy as version 5.0.2. Most applications will get a 10-25% speed increase from VPC 5.0.3. I recommend that anyone with performance issues upgrade to version 5.0.4.
Thanks...Lee Givens

If anyone has comparison results with applications performance send in your results. (Or if you see other pros/cons of the update.)
