  • Mac OS X v10.4 or later
  • Wireless network access requires a Macintosh computer with AirPort or AirPort Extreme card
  • WPA2 support requires a Macintosh computer with an AirPort Extreme card

    OWC Clearance/Garage Sale page updated
    (from site sponsor OWC)
"First off - want to introduce the new 'obsolete' listings page. There are a mis-mash of about 50 items now on this page, actually a pretty good selection of nice iPod cases for older iPod models makes up most of these deals. Items now on this page are those that have been on our clearance page for months, if not years. Prices have been further reduced to help move these items out. Also - moving them to a new place helps 'declutter' our other listing.

Next - we have about 110 'fresh' items available on the Garage Sale/Clearance listing. Currently remaining deals include:

  • Apple (OEM) Genuine 1GB PC5300 SO-DIMM 667MHZ modules for $15
  • Apple (OEM) Genuine 1GB PC5300 Mac Pro FB-DIMM Kits (512MB x 2) for $54.75
  • Apple (OEM) Genuine 2GB PC6400 Mac Pro FB-DIMM Kits (1GB x 2) for $99
  • ATI Radeon 9600 Pro Mac+PC 256MB 4X/8X AGP Video Cards for $167.75
  • Wireless 802.11n USB 2.0 and PCMCIA adapters from $45.00
  • Apple (OEM) 60GB, 80GB, 120GB SATA NoteBook HDs for $25 to $45
  • Maxtor 300GB USB2 Externals for $89.75, NewerTech FW800/400/USB2+Hubs 250GB for $149.50
  • G3 & G4 Processor upgrades from $29.00, 1.0GHZ G4 Upgrades from $125.00
  • USB2, NAS+USB2, FireWire, FireWire+USB2 Hard Drive Enclosure Kits from $25.00 And, well, about 100 other items in those and other categories.
First come, first served. These deals are for online order only and as product is ordered, the site updates and also restricts quantity of goods ordered in effort to prevent over selling of these limited to supply on hand deals. "

Site taking Donations for Reward for fixing iSub support w/OS X Leopard
There's a site taking donations for a Reward for fixing iSub support with OS X Leopard. (ref: prev. page here on iSub Problems with Intel-based Macs which had a workaround for OS X Tiger but even PPC Mac owners have reported problems in Leopard.)

    GigaDesigns RIP?
A reader sent a note earlier this week the gigadesigns website was no longer online. (I wrote an old contact there but the mail failed.) A couple of weeks ago while adding a reader's CPU Upgrade db report on his Sonnet MDD upgrade, I checked the GigaDesigns website to see if they still listed a MDD CPU upgrade and their website was still online then (Mid-March), although it had only 3 products listed (and one of them was a fan...).
