(Plus same list of items as SL above, clipped out to save space here)

* Testing conducted by Apple in January 2012 on a 2.7 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5-based iMac 21.5-inch system using OS X Lion v10.7.3 and configured with 4 GB of RAM and an AMD Radeon HD 6770M with 512 MB of VRAM. JavaScript benchmark based on SunSpider 0.9.1. Performance will vary based on system configuration, network connection, and other factors."

FYI/TIP: (From a reader mail)

"Mike, I just discovered a problem that is common with the new Safari update, but very easily fixed. The problem first exhibited itself with 1Password which stopped working with Safari. Then embedded YouTube videos seemed to be playing back very choppy. Then logins to sites where I knew the password and did not have to resort to software would not let me in.

Apparently Safari 5.1.4 installs itself as 32-bit only mode and you have to go into the Get Info dialog for the application and uncheck the "Open in 32-bit mode" checkbox. Once you do that, everything seems to return to working properly.
Hope this helps your readers who might be pulling out their hair like I did.
-Gene M."
