| Software/drivers for (ancient) IXMicro Road Rocket |
I know it's a longshot, but if anyone has a copy of the software/drivers for the (circa 1998) iXmicro Road Rocket Cardbus video card for the Powerbook G3 wallstreet, let me know. (I had one back in 1998 but can't find the original CD and IXmicro went out of business many years ago.)
Update: Hugh sent a note with link to OWC's Mirror of IXMicro drivers. (I'd forgotten they have a site section with software archives like this in the past. I later found an old FAQ item I'd posted on their mirror back when IXmicro closed many years ago... I need a vacation.)

| Mac Drive Upgrades/Compatibility Database Updated |
| The Mac Drive/Storage Upgrades Database had 3 more reports added. Current total - 16,423. (Searching by drive type, brand, mac model etc. listed below will show the full reports, most recent first)
DVD+R/RW + DVD-R/RW Drives:
- IDE Lite-On DH-20A4P in iMac G4 (OS X 10.4.x)
- IDE Pioneer DVR-115D in (Digital Audio) G4/AGP (OS X 10.4.x)
(includes notes on benchmarks and using modified OS 9.x burn support file. Drive connected to ATA/66 interface vs ATA/3 - using PCI card for HDs)
- IDE Pioneer DVR-112D in (Digital audio) G4/AGP (OS X 10.5.x)
(noted failure to read CDs after appx 1 year of use - either failed laser or dirty lens, the former I suspect)
You can read full reports (latest shown first) by searching the database by drive/brand/interface/mac models (the latest reports are shown first in searches). The database includes reports on Optical Drives (Blu-Ray, DVD, CD/CDR, etc.), Hard Drives, Tape drives, Removable media (ORB, ZIP, MO drives), NAS (Network Attached Storage), in all interface types (IDE, SATA, Firewire, SCSI, USB, adapters).
If you've added/upgraded a drive in your Mac send me the details (drive info/speed rating/mac model/OS used, etc.). Note: Please use the drive for at least a week before reporting on it and test for booting from Disc with Optical Drives (as well as burning discs). Thanks.
