"Subject: Mavericks on MacPro 1,1 I sent in a report a few months ago about running Mountain Lion on a MacPro1,1. I updated the Chameleon boot loader (See Update below) to the latest version then the same method (install on 2011 MacBookPro, connect MBP to MacPro in Target Disk Mode, clone system to MacPro using Carbon Copy Cloner) to get a working Mavericks system. I had to edit the platformsupport.plist to include my board ID. (old Lion tip was delete it)
I'm still tinkering with it to get Messages and iCloud to work consistently but everything else seems to work.

Thanks David. He included a screenshot w/About & System info although scaled text is tiny. (Personally I would not bother installing 10.9.0 on any mac right now, especially considering its current state (even on 'supported' models). Wait for at least a .1 release/update or later.)
[Update: A later report noted using an EFI patch instead of Chameleon - see Davor's Notes on a 2007 Mac Pro running OS X 10.9 (with a Radeon 7970).]
