Apple Pro Video Formats 2.0.1 Install Problems/Tip:
Several OS X users reported they either had problems installing this update (via Mac App store) or it repeatedly appeared in Software Update. (Apple also later published a support doc about it not appearing in the Mac App store updates (suggesting the D/L updater above), but then pulled it apparently as Doc link no longer worked.) A Yosemite forum thread on Pro Video Format 2.0.1 repeatedly appearing in Mac App Store updates included notes on the download updater and a tip on using Pacifist. And here's a later tip reportedly from Apple Support:
* Move All Files from /Library/Quicktime/ to a temporary folder on Desktop
* Open App Store and download (install) Pro Video Formats 2.0.1 update
* Restart the Mac
* Now compare the contents of /Library/Quicktime folder with the temporary folder on the desktop. Copy any missing file(s) back to the /Library/Quicktime folder. (Do not overwrite any files in the /Library/Quicktime folder - copy only files in the temporary folder that are not in the /Library/Quicktime folder. You may want to repair permissions (using Disk Utility) after copying any files just to ensure they are set correctly.)
* Restart the Mac and check to verify update does not appear again
I don't use WhatsApp (or Yosemite), but posting in case it helps anyone else that is:
"nsurlsessiond" process in Mac OS Yosemite finally controlled
I do not know if someone has reported it before, but I finally found the reason of the "nsurlsessiond" process, that downloads (large) amount of data everyday, putting to its knee my Internet bandwidth for about an hour. I did search the Internet several times since upgraded to Mac OS Yosemite to know how to stop this strange behavior but other than a script to postpone the process until the next startup, I haven't found anything really useful. The situation seems to affect a fair amount of Yosemite users and it is known to be iCloud Drive related.
At least in my case it was related to the WhatsApp app backup routine that uses my iCloud Drive for storage. My iPhone's Whatsapp had more than a gigabyte of documents (years of messages with photos and video files from several chat groups) and it was setup for a daily backup routine. To alleviate the situation, users can setup less frequent routine (weekly, monthly), clearing the chat archives to keep the amount of documents small or shutting off the backup at all. The later can be done within the iOS application or within the iCloud Drive itself. Hope it helps users with the same annoying problem.
best regards, Juan"
