* One reader missed the intro comments of that article. It's not targeted to a home user that can just replace a few fixtures - it's referring to a direct replacement LED Light Tube (w/ckt inside) compatible with ballast fixtures for (business/retail/mfg) customers with a large number of existing (FL) fixtures. (I'd think a big market of plants/mfg/retail buildings that have many older fixtures.) I'd seen 4ft LED tubes before, but they required removing the ballast, making them less attractive cost wise (w/labor reqd) when you're talking hundreds of fixtures in some buildings. (And in the past other questions arose such as light output for some applications as well as net cost/benefit. That may have changed however.)
