Download Nvidia Graphics Driver Update for OS X 10.11.6 (15G17023)
(Update for new build number with Oct. 31st Security Update 2017-004 installed)
The driver page mentions an old CUDA v7.5.29, but link goes to the current version. If you already have CUDA installed, check the prefs for an update. (The last CUDA version that listed OS X 10.11.x support on the download page was CUDA 8.0.90, but the D/L page listing isn't always accurate.)

Reader Report on using CUDA 9.0.222 in macOS 10.12.6 (w/updated web driver)
From a reader report Wed. night (CUDA 9.0.222 D/L page only lists 10.13.x support):
" Latest CUDA 9.0.222 (with macOS 10.12.6)
Date: 11/01/2017 07:57PM
Just thought I'd let you know that the CUDA control panel prompted me to update to the latest 9.0.222. I already had CUDA 9.0.214 on Sierra 10.12.6. I updated the CUDA before I saw your article about the new CUDA version and the new NVIDIA web driver. (below)
I just finished installing the new Security Update 2017-001 for macOS Sierra & the Nvidia Graphics Driver 378.05.05.25f03 for macOS 10.12.6 build 16G1036. All is working great. So I would say that CUDA 9.0.214 & 9.0.222 have macOS 10.12 support and CUDA-Z also works.
Thanks!
-George D.

Thanks George. Not sure why Nvidia didn't list macOS 10.12.x support after CUDA 9.0.197 (which didn't list/work with 10.13.x). If you see any problems later in actual use, let me know.

Download Nvidia Graphics Driver Update for macOS 10.12.6 (16G1036)
(Update for new build number with Oct. 31st Security Update 2017-001 installed)
The driver page's link for CUDA goes to the latest version (CUDA 9.0.222 as of Nov. 2nd), which only lists macOS 10.13.x support. A previous CUDA 9.0.197 lists support for 10.12.x, but if you have CUDA 8.x installed, see if the prefs pane says it needs an update.
(FYI - see above for report on using CUDA 9.0.222 in macOS 10.12.6 with Security Update and new Nvidia 10.12.6 web driver.)
